PALCO is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative. Members help members by pooling their money, which PALCO is then available to lend to their fellow members. PALCO's income, after expenses and reserves, is returned directly to members in the form of lower rates on loans, higher dividends on savings, and many no-fee services. Savings or "shares" are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the U.S. government, up to at least $100,000.
