A mortgage assigns a lien against real estate given by you to the bank as collateral securing for the repayment of the loan. All of our mortgages offer the purchase of life and disability insurance which insures the repayment of the loan if the borrower dies or becomes disabled.
Fixed Rate Mortgages - A Fixed Rate Mortgage guarantees you a fixed rate with equal monthly payments for the entire term of the loan.
Balloon Mortgages - With a Balloon Mortgage, your rate is fixed for a specific period of years, depending on the term you choose. After that period, in most cases, you can refinance the balance at the current rates. The balloon mortgage allows you to lock into a short-term mortgage and seek the best possible rates available at the time of renewal.
Bi-Weekly Mortgages - With a Bi-Weekly Mortgage, payments are made every 14 days. By making bi-weekly payments, your loan will be paid off earlier, saving you possibly thousands of dollars and shortening the term of your mortgage.
ARM Mortgages - With an Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM), your interest rate and payment amount can change periodically. The interest rate is based on an index, such as a Treasury Bill average yield, plus an interest rate margin. The payments can change (increase or decrease), based on changes in the interest rate.
(Hazard insurance required for loans secured by residential real estate.)
Construction Mortgages - Mid Penn Bank has the expertise to provide construction loans for single-family homes. Loans for new construction can be obtained in two forms: Construction Only Loans OR Single-Close Construction Loans.
